A viral post from an Overseas Filipino Worker caught the attention of the netizens for sharing his thoughts about the sacrifices of being an OFW and not being appreciated back by the gifts they gave.
Filipino OFW Raymond Lopez Facebook post garnered more than 64 thousand of shares and 196, 000 of reactions since he posted it last October 25, 2017.
Lopez expressed his disappointment towards people who didn't appreciate his effort to give "pasalubong" or gifts to someone.
As the saying goes, "It's the thought that counts." Lopez cited how some people are so unappreciative to the gifts he give. For him, whether you give or not, people still have something to say about you.
No matter how simple it is. Big or small. It should not be a big deal because what matter most they brought something and it's a thing that they remembered them.
That's why, Lopez cited facts about their hardship to earn money abroad.
OFWs are sacrificing to work hard, fighting to survive the homesickness, loneliness and being away from their love ones. Lopez just wanted everyone to also understand and be appreciative for the efforts they made.
Mostly, some OFW also feel that they were oblige to give big surprises to their family and friends. Because they think working abroad is a privilege and they are earning much more, not considering the sleep nights, the stress and strict savings just for the family.
Lopez said that it should not be that way because they went back home to relax, to spend time with families and to have fun away from work.

Lopez left a message to the unappreciative people for them to know how hard it is and to able appreciate their sacrifices.
