apologize for your mistake, and provide a more factual and fair report about our country
by MJ Quiambao Reyes
The latest and the worst of all the ongoing disinformation is your recent video which was prepared for and presented to the international organizations and international community.
I am among millions of Filipinos enraged by such thoughtless move by no less than the Vice President of the Philippines. It is infuriating how you badly presented our country to the world aschaotic & ill-governed. It is enraging how you spoke for the people and called us hopeless and helpless when 80-90% of the Filipinos are either satisfied or very much satisfied with our current government.
Nonetheless, I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt that what you did was mere poor judgment on your part--and that sabotaging our economy and overthrowing a duly elected President are not part of your objectives.
If so and in this regard, I appeal to your senses and whatever is left of your love for country, to please recant your statements.
I ask you to exercise humility, apologize for your mistake, and provide a more factual and fair report about our country. Please do this--and do this urgent.
Allow me to provide you with some data which your office can check and consider sharing to the international community to correct the unvetted information which you have previously shared.
Mrs. Robredo, before Duterte came to power, there were already killings. Worse, many of the poor victims then were non-criminals. Some of the most gruesome incidents were, in fact, perpetrated by criminals under the influence of drugs. As the widow of the late DILG Secretary, you should have known our loathsome scenario prior to Duterte.

It was largely due to the above situation that the then Mayor Duterte decided to run for President.

Please also correct your huge mistake on "palit-ulo". As you must have read by now, the palit-ulo is an intelligence strategy which aims to pin down the bigger players in the illegal drug trade.
Mrs. Robredo, if you care enough for the country and your children's future, please seriously consider my suggestion and do what you have to do urgent to correct the biggest fake news and the most destructive video which unfortunately came from you.
Please admit your mistake, recant your statements, and yes, present our country's current situation to the world--but this time, do it fairly, more truthfully, and sincerely.
DO THIS LEST YOU WISH TO FACE THE PEOPLE'S FURY AND BE JUDGED BY HISTORY AS THE WORST PUBLIC SERVANT WHO BETRAYED HER OWN COUNTRY.
