The bridge, named Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway, will be built, managed, and operated by Metro Pacific Tollways Development Corporation (MPTDC)
President Duterte is expected to fly to Cebu to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the P30-billion Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway, according to former Cordova mayor Adelino Sitoy, who is the current head of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO).
“I’m planning to bring him to the SRP (South Road Properties) so he can get a view of Shell Island as well as the flag that will be used in the groundbreaking,” Sitoy said.
This bridge will be the third bridge going to Mactan island. It is said that it will connect from South Road Property (SRP) to Cordova.
Based on the report, Duterte to fly this coming March 2.
'Spanning eight kilometers, the CCLEX will connect Cebu City to the Municipality of Cordova and will serve as an alternate route in going to and from the Mactan Cebu International Airport.'
The project is set to be completed in 2020. Also, it would be a great help in the traffic jam in Cebu and will be located around 7.5 kilometers south of the two existing Mactan-Mandaue bridges.
