LOOK: Japan Prime Minister Abe visits President Duterte’s house in Davao
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the house of President Rodrigo Duterte in Davao City on Friday.
Special Assistant to the President Christopher "Bong" Go uploaded photos on his Facebook Account where Prime Minister Abe arrived in Duterte's home late morning.
President Duterte and PM Abe joined breakfast together with home-made food. Duterte also toured Abe to his room.
Bong Go has a caption that says, "Japan prime minister Shinzo Abe inside the simple home of Pres.Duterte. We also showed him how the president enjoys the comfort of his own bed, including his old and favorite mosquito net."
According to ABS-CBN report, the two leaders shared breakfast with biko, suman, kutsinta, and monggo soup.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe arrived in the country on Thursday with his wife.
Abe personally requested to visit Duterte's home during his three-day visit to the Philippines.
Japan supports President Duterte drug campaign.
“Japan might want to look at how they can contribute in building a rehabilitation center in the country. So he will be visiting Davao, he will be coming to Manila we will have activities here for him and we will also have activities for him in Davao,” DFA Secretary Perfecto Yasay earlier said.
