Look: Duterte serves PM Abe 'kakanin' at his humble home in Davao


Japanese PM Shinzo Abe visited the home of President Duterte in Davao.

During the visit of PM Abe with his wife, Akie Abe it brought praises from the netizens.

President Duterte just live a simple life and simple home in his hometown. PM Abe obviously enjoyed his stay and was able to tour around to Duterte bedroom.

The two leaders shared breakfast with a 'kakanin' being served, such as biko, suman, kutsinta and monggo soup.

Also, the other foods that served were heart of Banana Salad made of pickled banana blossom with ginger, onion, and tomato in native vinaigrette, steamed cake or Puto, and a platter of ripe mangoes, pomelo and rambutan. Pandan water, tea, coffee and buko juice.

According to the report, PM Abe and his wife spent 45 minutes of warm camaraderie with the Dutertes over native rice cakes and monggo soup, which happen to be President Duterte’s favorites.
