Gordon calls LP to leave Senate 'supermajority: 'They get chairmanships, meron silang committee, tapos bumabanat'
Senator Richard “Dick” Gordon on Wednesday speaks up against the Liberal Party. He said the LP should better leave in the Senate supermajority over the intense conflicting stands on issues.
LP as the opponent of the Duterte administrations, where some of the Senators belong also to the group. It always causes a commotion between the two party because of their political stand.
"They get chairmanships, meron silang committee, tapos bumabanat (then they criticize the administration)," Gordon said, an ally and a critic of Duterte.
Recently, Senator JV Ejercito also called the Liberal Party to leave the supermajority. But later on, he withdrew what he said and apologized to Sen. Franklin Drilon.
“He accepted my apology right away and told me nothing has changed and though he was hurt, he will continue to support me as a colleague,” Ejercito said.
"Ok lang, we can agree to disagree," he added.
But also, Senator Leila de Lima commented that before deciding on that matter, they will discuss it first in a meeting.
"Magrespetuhan naman tayo sa isa't isa (Let us respect each other)," she said.
