Duterte to Aquino :'You have to answer to the nation. You fed the soldiers to the lion's den to be eaten by death'

President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday expressed his dismay to his predecessor, former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III over the Mamasapano massacre.

"You fed the soldiers to the lion's den to be eaten by death," Duterte said.

During the gathering of the anniversary of the fallen 44 Special Action Force commandos with their loved ones, Duterte recalled the issue and tragedy happened.

Duterte said Aquino did not think well that he overly depend to PNP chief Purisima over the operation.

He said he was really pissed off. That when they met for a meeting in Zamboanga together with mayors in Mindanao, generals, and former Interior Secretary Manuel "Mar" Roxas. He couldn't contain his distaste to the reaction of Aquino and excused himself.

"I was really, sorry to say I'd be honest, and you can criticize me for this… I was really pissed off," Duterte said.

"Let it be brought in the open. It was an American adventure, with the cooperation of some. And apparently with your blessing," Duterte added.

Duterte wants Aquino to explain more on what really happened and not just being responsible on that matter was not enough.

"You said 'kasalanan ko iyon'. But it is not enough. Sabihin mo sa akin kung paano ka nagkasala at ano ginawa ninyo," the president said.

According to CNN report, Duterte said that "he would create a seven-man commission to look into the results of the investigations made by the lower house, the Senate, and the Office of the President — to answer the questions on what happened that fateful day, and to finally deliver justice to the fallen police officers."
