Netizen blasts Duterte critics: "Why is the focus on the killings, and not on the overall result of the anti-drug war?"

Netizen Mark Lopez lambasted the critics of President Rodrigo Duterte for always pointing out the latter of the alleged extrajudicial killings in the country.

Lopez listed down the numbers of killings happened since the Oplan Tokhang started last July 1.

He cited that in 951,278 total numbers of people involved in drugs and only 2,102 were killed.

He emphasized that even if the total of numbers killed in illegal drugs were 6,000, it cannot defeat the millions of lives save due to drugs.

Lopez criticized the anti-Duterte for always concentrating on the limelight of killings, when in fact, the new administration was able to beat the 6 years accomplishment of the previous administration in just 6 months.

The result was absolutely astonishing. He even questioned them for not considering the bright side of the anti-drugs campaign compared to the killings happened.

Lopez wondered that the killings were not new but the crusaders were just reacting right now.

He thinks perhaps 'there is a pervading reason why there are distortion and misguided advocacy by the elitists and political losers' and by calling the administration as "killers."

On the latter, he accused them that they might be the one who's high on drugs.

Read the full statement of Mark Lopez:

Since July 1, the PNP has implemented 'Oplan Tokhang' and 'Oplan Double Barrel' as its ground components of the Duterte Administration's campaign against drug abuse.

In 6 months, here are the numbers:

5,128,569 houses were visited.38,193 raids or operations conducted,

Total number of drug users/pushers/gang members involved at 951,278 or about a MILLION drug-addled Filipinos.

Broken down further, the numbers are:

908,244 who SURRENDERED VOLUNTARILY40,932 who were ARRESTED and are ALIVE2,102 who were KILLED.

Repeat, out of the MILLION drug addicts targeted or identified, 2,102 were killed. For the sake of argument, let's add the 4,000 who were killed by unknown assailants or vigilantes, or rogue elements. So the total kill list is at 6,102.

6,102 out of 951,278 is less than 1 percent (0.06)

99% are ALIVE!

Repeat, 99% of the drug addicts that were identified, targeted or involved in the anti-drug campaign ARE ALIVE!

We therefore wonder why is it that too much attention is given to the less than one percent, so much so that this country is being put to bad light by international media?

And don't get me started with numbers of the previous administration. I will just give a hint -- there is a STAGGERING DISPARITY between what was accomplished in 6 years versus what was done in 6 months!

As Sass Rogando Sasot mentioned earlier, Mar Roxas led drug seizures worth P7B in 3 years of his term as DILG. From July to September of this year, the admin seized drugs worth P12B.

So I ask again ---why is the focus on the killings, and not on the overall result of the anti-drug war?

Why the sudden rise of crusaders and crocodile tears for the dregs of society now? And where were these crusaders in the last 5 years when these dregs are lording over our communities and killing law abiding citizens, innocent children and hapless elderlies?

Perhaps there is a pervading reason why there is distortion and misguided advocacy by the elitists and political losers in portraying the admin as "killers" and screaming to the entire world that there is an on-going "massacre of the poor"

They are probably high on drugs!
