Robredo's Naga River pet project collapsed in just two months



After two months of inauguration and inspection of Naga City Revetment Project, at least 55 meters of the barricade have been collapsed.


The Naga River Revetment Project, which measures 5,670 linear meters, is the pet project of Vice President Leni Robredo and the city government of Naga.

According to a resident, that the foundation was very shallow, and the plastering of the rip-rap was too thin.

Also, some who lived there said they noticed parts of the project was eroded simultaneously.

Diego Magpantay of the Citizens Crime Watch is already on the case, sending investigators to inspect on the deteriorating structure.

The City Mayor also ordered the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to check the damage.

Now, it is been questioned if the cause of the collapsed was the substandard materials used.

While the DPWH has not yet release a statement regarding to it.
