Netizen started petition to impeach Ombudsman Conchita Morales

After Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales initiated an investigation on Philippine National Police Chief, Director General Ronald de la Rosa for his free trip to Las Vegas.

The Ombudsman received vast of criticism on probing Dela Rosa. Netizens reacted because they find it bias while probing the involvement of Senator Leila De Lima in the illegal drug trade inside New Bilibid Prison turned a blind eye.

Morales believed Gen. Bato committed possible violation in Republic Act 6713 states that “public officials and employees shall not solicit or accept, directly or indirectly, any gift, gratuity, favor, entertainment, loan or anything of monetary value from any person in the course of their official duties or in connection with any operation being regulated by, or any transaction which may be affected by the functions of their office.”

On the other hand, a petition to impeach Ombudsman Morales was made by Bernie Cadao of Dasmariñas City in change.org

Netizens agreed that the Ombudsman should impeach and they also expressed their sentiments towards Morales.

As of posting, the petition was just garnered 1,196 supporters.

Read below his petition:
The Ombudsman will initiate investigation against General Bato on his trip to watch Pacman's fight in Las Vegas.

However, in her statement, she will not investigate Delimma on alleged involvement in drug trades in Bilibid Prison despite the results of the investigation of the House.

There are many cases filed in her office of bigger gravity like the DAP, PDAF, SAF44, the Yolanda funds, etc and yet her office has seat on them.

Her action against Bato is selective prosecution as she also did on PDAF cases.
Earlier, Ombudsman Morales said the probe on De Lima case will not going to happen.

Amid evidences against De Lima's involvement, they still didn't take actions on it. Instead, they turned their attention towards Dela Rosa.
