Ex-DILG Sec. Alunan to Ombudsman: "Hindi naman tama yan. Hindi patas ang labanan. Gender bias?"

Former Interior Secretary Rafael Alunan III slammed Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales on probing PNP chief Bato dela Rosa Las Vegas trip.

According to the report, the police official will have to investigate for possible violation of Section 7 of the Republic Act 6713, or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.

Alunan questioned the probe on PNP dela Rosa and he said it is being biased.

He said the decision was a "gender bias" because compared to dela Rosa, the involvement of Senator De Lima in the illegal drug trade was more serious.

Check out Alunan's post:
Hindi naman tama yan. Bakit ganyan? Hindi patas ang labanan. Yung mamang pulis na kailangang turuan ng propriety to avoid conflict of interest and allegations of graft and corruption ay iimbestigahan. Yung babae na akusada bilang narco-politician ay hindi. Mas mabigat na kasalanan yan! Hindi ko maintindihan. Gender bias? Color blind? Paki-explain.
Meanwhile, Dela Rosa responded he was open for investigation.

“So it was wrong? OK, then investigate me,” Dela Rosa said.

“What’s important is that we did not steal any public funds,” Dela Rosa said. “It would be difficult to imprison me because of an invitation. Let’s see… I’m okay [to be investigated]," Dela Rosa added.

Also, Sen. Pacquiao commented on it, he said “Alam mo kaming mga Bisaya, OK lang ’yang ilibre, kaysa gumawa ng kalokohan.”
