Duterte infra projects moving 'very rapidly' compared to Aquino admin- Pernia

Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia on Tuesday said that President Rodrigo Duterte is moving rapidly in modifying the nation's squeaking framework systems.

"We are moving projects very rapidly," Pernia said.

Pernia compared the Duterte administration to the past administration. He claimed that Duterte already outpaced former President Noynoy Aquino.

According to the report, President Duterte already approved 16 infrastructure projects.

"Sixteen (approved) as of now (versus) 12 over six years. That is the kind of speed we are moving," Pernia said.

Pernia a week ago spoke to people in general for persistence as the roadworks would bring about car influxes.

Pernia, Tugade and Mark Villar vowed to complete the projects in three to five years, before the end of President Rodrigo Duterte’s term.

Duterte has guaranteed to raise spending on new roads, bridges, and transport facilities for the next six years, promising a “golden age of infrastructure development.”
