Atienza to De Lima: Ask netizens 'magreresign ba ako o hindi?I’ll guess magiging resulta 98 percent will say, mag-resign ka na,oy'

BUHAY party-list Rep. Jose "Lito" Atienza on Wednesday declined to answer the media if Senator Leila De Lima should resign in her position.

Instead, Atienza said that De Lima should ask the netizens for her to know whether the public wants her to stay or not. He said he thinks probably 98% would say yes.

“I cannot, we should not go over her rights. Kung mayroon siyang sensitivity to public opinion, eh magtanong siya, alamin niya kung ano ang damdamin ng bayan. Dahil wala pa namang judgement, so you cannot say she should resign," Atienza said.

"She should ask. Andali niyan eh, magpost ka lang sa Internet. Tanungin mo bayan, magreresign ba ako o hindi? I’ll guess ano magiging resulta: 98 percent will say, mag-resign ka na, oy,” Atienza added.

Atienza said the admission of De Lima to her relationship with Dayan could build up her assumed part in the illegal drug trade.

"Now that [Sen.] De Lima now says indeed he [Dayan] was the boyfriend, eh di mayroon na ngayong conclusive evidence na malamang tama iyong mga drug lords," Atienza said.

"Dahil kung nangongolekta ng pera para sa kanya at sabi nga niya boyfriend niya, eh di malinaw na ang koneksyon nung droga, pera at [former] Sec. De Lima," Atienza added.

"Malaki [iyong admission niya]. Una, may asawa, pangalawa, tao mo iyon, empleyado mo iyon. In fact, driver mo iyon," said Atienza.
