Duterte's remarkable trademark earned praises from netizen

President Rodrigo Duterte did three-day visits in Brunei to have a stronger diplomatic and economic cooperation.

A photo of Duterte when he suddenly stops at the Brunei Royal Army holding the flag of Brunei and pay his respect was doing the rounds online.

In the photo, President Duterte bowed while Brunei Darussalam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’zzaddin Waddaulah did a snappy salute.

Facebook user Monching Lumantas said that it was only Duterte who did the highest form of respect to another country, its own people and its flag.

Indeed, it was really a one of the best moment captured from President Duterte. Netizens also feel proud and impressed to the president.

THE TRADITIONAL BOW

A typical scene in all his rallies during the campaign, a remarkable trademark in all his speaking engagements around the country.

But no other president in this nation's history has shown the highest form of respect to another country, its own people and its flag. Until now.

During the welcome ceremonies of his first state visit to Brunei Darussalam yesterday, President Rodrigo Duterte walked down the red carpet to inspect the honor guards, but he breached protocol when he made an unexpected stop, faced the flags of the Brunei Royal Army and bowed his head. His host and counterpart, Sultan Bolkiah just gave one, snappy salute.

Brunei is home to thousands of Filipino overseas contract workers. This oil-rich country has helped boost the Philippine economy by pouring billions of dollars in investments over the years. A true ally and a trusted neighbor in Southeast Asia.

This is the President's gesture of saying...Hello, Thank you and Goodbye Brunei

#ChangeAtLast
Meanwhile, in President Duterte third day visit, it was absolutely a success. Both leaders were shaking hands as a sign of agreement to reaffirm their commitment to further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
