VP Robredo: “There are no moves from the Liberal Party to unseat the President”

Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday denied that the Liberal Party had a plan to unseat President Rodrigo Duterte through impeachment.

In a statement of Robredo, she said LP doesn’t plan to do anything to remove Duterte.

“There are no moves from the Liberal Party to unseat the President,” Robredo said.

Robredo cited that several LP members have joined the supermajority bloc in the Senate and House of Representatives.

She included that the LP party's initiative has additionally been reliably showing its backing for the organization by offering against neediness projects and arrangements that will supplement the administration's needs on destitution lightening.

“We’ve been coordinating with the relevant government agencies so that our office can help in the rehabilitation effort that needs to accompany the campaign against illegal drugs,” Robredo said.

Albeit no date has been set, the Vice President said she wants to illuminate the issue and to clear the falsehood and guarantee President Duterte that the LP party were also dedicated to the changes for our Filipino individuals.

President Duterte on Monday said that the LP is designing a denunciation grumbling against him.

“Sumakay itong si Obama. Sumakay itong si [United Nations Secretary General] Ban Ki Moon. Dito sumakay. Alam mo kung kaninong laro ito? Yellow yan,” Duterte said last Monday.

“They think that if they can build a case against me, I’ll be impeached,” he added.
