Sen. Gordon replaces De Lima as chairman of the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights

Senator Leila de Lima loses the Senate Justice Committee chair on Monday.

Sixteen senators voted to oust De Lima from the chairmanship of the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights.

After the privilege speech of Sen. Allan Cayetano, Senator Manny Pacquiao declared the committee vacant.

Senate Majority Leader Vicente "Tito" Sotto appointed
Senator Richard Gordon  as the new chairman of the committee.
However, Senator Leila De Lima walks out as Senator Peter Alan Cayetano delivers his privilege speech, according to De Lima she’d rather have her privilege speech tomorrow instead of confronting Cayetano in front of the Senate.

I cannot stand it so I’m gonna deliver a privilege speech tomorrow instead of confronting him.-Sen. De Lima

Meanwhile, the close ally of President Duterte, Sen. Cayetano emphasized the desire of De Lima to destroy the President really affects the integrity and the image of the Philippines both in local and international.

Senator De Lima, in her desire to destroy the President, is destroying the integrity and reputation of the Senate. Worse, damaging the image of our country and people worldwide.-Sen. Cayetano

It can be seen on the video below that Sen. De Lima walks out along with her notebooks and immediately left the Senate hearing.
