President Duterte asks another 6 months to clean the country

President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday asked the public to give him another six months to fulfill his promise to fight the crime and illegal drugs in the country.

Duterte said he never thought that the problem of drugs in this country was this huge.

“Just give me a little extension of maybe of another six months. Because I never have that idea of hundreds of thousands of people in the drug business. And what makes it worst is, they are now operated by people in government, especially those elected officials,” Duterte said.

“That self-imposed time of three to six months, well, I did not realize how severe and how serious the problem of drug menace in this Republic until I became President,” Duterte added.

Duterte meet in Davao City the freed Norwegian Kjartan Sekkingstad and that's the time he admits it.

“Even if I want it to, I cannot kill them all because the last report would be this thick,” the president said. 

He was referring to the latest narco-list. He did not give the names of involved but mentioned that there were 1,000 of them. Including the politicians, police officials, local execs, and barangay captains.

“We are [rotting] with so many problems—kidnapping in the south, terrorism drugs, which is really pulling us down and…we would need time to [put] things in order,” Duterte said.

Duterte since his campaign vowed to eradicate the crimes and drugs in the country in 3-6 months. With help Gen. chief Bato dela Rosa their campaign was a big success.
