Look: OFWs exempted from travel tax and POEA fees

Overseas Filipino workers who are working the same employers or going back to their jobs are exempted from paying
travel taxes and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) processing fee.

It also included in the exemption the overseas employment certificate (OEC).

According to the report, the POEA said that the Balik Manggagawa (BM) group was asking to improve their OECs or exit clearance since then.

POEA said the new arrangement was in accordance with the administration's endeavors to enhance the OFWs processing documents.
They added, that the OFWs who might do a reversal to the same employer could enroll online just to update their data. Then after it sent, the data will receive by Bureau of Immigration and that's the time BI officer will do the verification for the exemption of the BM member.

The BM members would need to exhibit substantial work visa or employment contract so they could be exempted from paying terminal expense and travel charge.
