Japan and Australia show support to fight against terrorism

Late Friday night an explosion happened in downtown Davao City, over 60 people were injured and 14 people killed.

This Saturday, Australia and Japan vowed to support the Philippines in combating terrorism.

They both send their condolences to the families who got killed in the explosion.

“I am deeply shocked to learn that a bombing incident caused numerous casualties in Davao City. In this time of difficulties, Japan stands with the Philippines. Japan will continue to closely cooperate with the Philippines in tackling terrorism,” Japan Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said.

Australia remains steadfast in its support for the Philippines in response to terrorism and stands ready to offer any assistance to law enforcement authorities," Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said.

"Australians in Davao should exercise heightened vigilance, avoid the affected area and follow the advice of local authorities," Bishop added.

The US already send their support to the Philippines earlier.
