PNP chief Bato to Ping Lacson: I appreciate the concern but we will never lose our cool at Senate probe

Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa on Tuesday appreciated the concern of the former PNP chief, Sen. Panfilo Lacson given to them before the schedule of the Senate probe.

Dela Rosa thanked Senator Ping Lacson for reminding them not to lose cool. He assured that during the senate investigation, he will answer all tough questions of the Senators about the increasing numbers of
extrajudicial killings and summary executions of drug suspects.
“I appreciate the concern of our former boss, Sen Lacson. But please tell them that we wil go there to the Senate with open hearts, our hearts are clean, hindi kami tainted kaya wala kaming dapat itago, hindi kami magpa-panic and we will never lose our cool,” Dela Rosa said.
“Huwag silang mag-alala, ilalabas naming lahat, lahat ng kailangan nilang data ibibigay namin, lahat ng gusto nilang malaman, sasabihin namin,”Dela Rosa added.
Senator Leila de Lima was the one filed the case to have a Senate investigation.
Dela Rosa was confident to attend the probe this coming August 22 and 23.
“Nakahanda po kami wala kaming itatago. We will go there to the Senate with open hearts. Our hearts are clean, not tainted wala kaming dapat itago hindi kami magpa-panic,” Dela Rosa said indicating that there's nothing to worry about it.
“Hindi naman kami kailangang sindakin para lumabas yung katotohanan. Honorable naman ang mga senador natin, hindi naman yan mambabastos sa amin siguro. In every action, there is a corresponding reaction. Pag binabastos ka, we may probably lose our cool pero kung friendly naman sila, hindi gaanong hostile e what’s the reason for us to lose our cool,” he said.
“Alam niya na very cool ako na tao and very hot ako pag ako ay in-agitate, pero hindi yan address to the Senate ha, addressed to the enemies yan, mga kalaban. Hindi sa Senado, hindi ko sila kalaban, hindi natin sila kalaban,” PNP chief said.
Lacson said he should be careful when answering the questions but Dela Rosa said that he will answer the questions honestly proven with the evidence they have.
"‘Yung pagpunta pa lang namin sa Senado is a sign we are true to our words and deeds,” Dela Rosa said.
“’[W]ag sila mag-alala ilalabas namin lahat, lahat ng gusto nilang malaman sasabihin namin,” he added.
Dela Rosa positively said they end the illegal drugs within six months and never to lose the momentum in cleaning the country.
“Kahit na anong imbestigasyon diyan that will come our way, we are determined to finish this off in six months. I don’t care kung anong investigation ang darating diyan, I will continue to motivate my men to exploit the momentum. The momentum is on our side. We don’t have to slow down. We will continue the fight,” he said.
