P88 million of Shabu and bomb components found from leyte mayor Espinosa's house
Early on Wednesday, The police authorities raid the ancestral house of Leyte mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. in Albuera and they found at least 11 kilograms or P88 million worth of shabu and bomb parts inside his house.
According to GMA report, the PDEA and Albuera police joined forces to searched Espinosa's house in Sitio Tinago Dos, Barangay Benolho at around 5 a.m.
They found shabu hid in the kitchen, ammonium nitrate, blasting caps, firing wires and black powder. It's an ingredient in making bombs.
Albuera police chief Inspector Jovie Espenido said after they verified an information that the house is positive of shabu, they were able to secure a search warrant.
Chief Espenido confirmed that the information was a testimony of one of Espinosa's men who were arrested.
He added that they will conduct more raids on mayor's house once they get a search warrant because they have a new information that firearms are hidden in one of his houses.Recently, Espinosa surrendered and stay at the “White House” in Camp Crame. But expelled after his son failed to surrender.
Some reports said that Espinosa was admitted in one hospital in Cebu.
There were no further details what cases mayor Espinosa will face after finding illegal drugs and bomb parts in his house.
