Duterte 's promise: "free education to the children of soldiers and P500-M new state-of-the-art hospital for AFP"


After President Rodrigo Duterte promised to double wages for the soldiers, he also promises to provide a free education to the children of soldiers.

Duterte promised during his visits to the wounded soldiers in V. Luna Hospital in Quezon City on Tuesday night.

“Anyway, one of the things that you will have in the fullness of God’s time and si Allah is ‘yung program ninyo, mga anak ninyo, libre na ang edukasyon. Iyan ang ipinangako ko noon at gagawin kong totoo, hindi ako nangangako ng pabola-bola diyan,”Duterte said.

Duterte said that having a free education for the children of soldiers will be one of the unique change of the Philippines to serve the people.

Furthermore, he said he will allocating P500 million for the construction of the new state-of-the-art building, facilities, and equipment for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Medical Center.

”I promised it to you, state-of-the-art equipment. There will be changes,” President said.

Duterte said that just give him time probably, until December to finish the new building and the medical equipment.


”Guys I’m your friend. I’m here to serve you. I’m also from the ranks. I will not abandon you,” Duterte said.

However, Duterte didn't give much detail regarding the free education. If it is from elementary to college or whether a private or public schools he will offer and when he will implement the said commitment. But still, according to Duterte, a promise is a promise.
