Cebu 'top 2 drug lord' surrendered to PNP chief dela Rosa

The Central Visayas's alleged number 2 drug lord
has surrendered to Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa on Monday.

PNP chief Dela Rosa confirmed in his press briefing that Franz Sabalones surrendered on Sunday night, August 7 in the Camp Crame.

Together with his brother Fralz, the vice mayor of San Fernando, Cebu.

Inside Camp Crame at the Multipurpose Center, Franz said he want to change that's why he surrendered.

“Gusto ko lang magbago,” Franz said in the interview.

Vice Mayor Fralz said that he was mistakenly named involved in illegal drug trade.

“Sakit sa akong ulo no na karon na nakuanan ta ba kay dugay na nakadungog ko sa iyang pangalan pero wa pa nako na kumpirma kay nalain mi ug linya sa pagtan-aw sa kinabuhi,”vice mayor said.

[I was annoyed when I heard reports of my brother’s links to drugs, but I couldn’t confirm it because we chose different paths in life.]

According to Dela Rosa,
Fralz Sabalones is the second next to “Jaguar,” the top drug lord in Central Visayas and was killed in Metro Manila last June.

Dela Rosa said Sabalones will turn over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and with the evidence he will undergo inquest proceedings.

“Basta ito kung hindi siya magbago... ah, mapapatay talaga ito. Magbago talaga ito dapat. Ang dami mo nang sinirang buhay sa Central Visayas.” Dela Rosa warned Sabalones.

Police in Camp Crame have yet to validate if there is a standing case or arrest warrant against Sabalones.
