PNP spokesperson: Duterte has enough evidence against 5 generals

PNP spokesperson Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos on Wednesday said that he believed on the sufficient information of President Rodrigo Duterte against the five police generals allegedly links to illegal drug syndicates.

Carlos said Duterte has a background on criminal justice as he was a lawyer and prosecutor. He knew the basis and information of the president comes to the different sectors.

“We believe the President has enough information or holdings against these five generals. We respect that. We know the background of our commander. He was a lawyer and prosecutor,” PNP spokesperson Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos said.


“We believe that the President has access to information coming from intelligence units from different government agencies. What we have is information from [the] intel of PNP. We don’t have access on reports being submitted to the President,” Carlos added.

All of the five police generals denied the allegation linking as protectors of the illegal drug syndicates.

The three active police generals are now under investigation of NAPOLCOM. In which they said, the investigation will be finish in 7 days.

Former Deputy Director General Marcelo Garbo Jr. is now a citizen, so he's under the jurisdiction of PNP while Daanbantayan Mayor Vicente Loot, the DILG will take cognizance of his case.
