Floating shabu laboratory seized in Subic bay

A fish carrier vessel or a floating shabu laboratory was raided by the police authorities in Barangay Calapandayan, Subic, Zambales on Monday evening.

According to the report, there were four Hong Kong nationals arrested in the vessel. The boat was used to transport illegal drugs from China to Philippines.

PNP Director General Ronald dela Rosa arrived in the vessel and inspected it.

"Sa loob lang ng dalawang araw, nakakagawa na ng shabu. Ibabagsak sa dagat, may pipick-up na Pinoy sa mga lugar. Route possibly Ilocos to Cagayan and Ilocos to Pangasinan from Subic,” dela Rosa said.

"Accordingly three times na nag unload eto, nagpi-prepare pabalik ng China for another delivery," dela Rosa said.

Half kilogram of shabu placed in a plastic bag has been confiscated to the suspects.

Based on the report, the suspects arrived in the NAIA last week.

According to the Bureau of Immigration (BI), three of the four suspects are first-timers in the Philippines; one or two of them possibly chemists of the clandestine laboratory, in the interview of ABS- CBN.

The police believed they are manufacturing a shabu in the middle of the sea.

Authorities said they will investigate whether the vessel is connected to the P1-B worth of shabu recovered in Claveria, Cagayan just last week.
