Andanar on Duterte’s SONA speech: When I read the speech, it made me cry
President Rodrigo Duterte's first State of the Nation Address (SONA) will be on Monday.
Presidential Communications Office Secretary Martin Andanar stated that President Duterte's SONA speech got him emotional.
According to his press conference in Davao City, he said, "The address of the President, personally written by the President, will be a very powerful speech that will awaken the patriot in every Filipino," Andanar said.
"When I read the speech, ayaw ko pong mag-exaggerate pero the first time I read the speech, it made me cry. Ganoon po kaganda, ganoon po ka makabagbag-damdamin iyong speech ng Pangulo natin," He added.
Presidential Broadcast Staff Radio Television Malacañang invested hours reviewing President Duterte's written speech. Andanar said it was revised no less than 10 times.
Duterte's first SONA on Monday will take at least 38 minutes and starts at 4 in the afternoon, according to Andanar.
