4 police officials under investigation for allegedly meet with Roxas' camp

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is exploring four of its authorities who purportedly had a meeting in a hotel in Quezon City this weekend with the staff of administration leading figure Mar Roxas.

According to GMA news, on Thursday the police involved are under investigation namely, Director Generoso Cerbo Jr., chief of the PNP directorate for intelligence, and Chief Supts. Ronald Santos, Rainier Idio and Bernardo Diaz.

Earlier, Mar Roxas' staff together with the four officials and Maj. Gen. Oscar Lactao were apparently seen last April 2 in a meeting in Novotel in Araneta Center.

PNP chief Dir. Gen. Ricardo Marquez said the at a question and answer session, if the police authorities demonstrated liable in participating in fanatic legislative issues, they will be dismissed from their post.

"If there are complaints that my officers were there to discuss partisanship, to discuss how certain politicians could be provided with anything so that they will win, we will relieve our officers," Marquez said.

Lactao already admitted his in Novotel last April 2 but denied he's with the meeting of Roxas' staff.

The military already investigating Lactao over alleged meeting with Roxas supporters.

"I was there to meet a classmate, another officer in the service, who sought my advice on career matters," Lactao said.

According to the interview of Cerbo, he cited he was just invited with retired PNP deputy director general Marcelo Garbo and as well as Idio said additionally labeled Garbo as the person who welcomed him to Novotel. Stated that they were just invited to discuss some matters but not because of politics.
