Modus: Shabu found in sandals and pack of junk foods
There were 4 suspects arrested during the raid. The 35 sachets of illegal drug hides in the sandals and pack of junk foods inside their house.
According to NBI investigation, these are the modus of suspects to avoid the detection of smuggled shabu before they transport it to other country.
Aside from drugs, the NBI also found in the condominium the weighing scale, sandals and junk foods, money and some Malaysian ringgit.
The arrested drug pusher is Enjum Jainuddin, the owner of the condominium, his husband and sibling named Miam. Another suspect also arrested is Manik Halis, counselor of Barangay Culiat, Quezon City.
NBI Anti-Organized and Transnation Crime Division chief Manuel Fayre said Jainuddin has been under their radar for allegedly smuggling shabu to Malaysia. The suspects had already reached from Metro Manila to Zamboanga and Malaysia.
"Considering that sa Malaysia mahal ang shabu. Kung gusto mong kumita talaga ng malaki, you can proceed to Malaysia," he said.
The suspects are facing the case of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
