Live Facebook streaming for Duterte's inauguration ceremony
Incoming chief of Presidential Communications Office's (PCOO) Martin Andanar said on Friday that supporters who cannot attend the inauguration ceremony of incoming President-elect Rodrigo Duterte has a possible live streaming in Facebook on June 30.
According to Andanar in his interview in ANC, he said that he talked to Facebook officials and the executives will come to discuss this matter.
"I'm meeting with the guys from Facebook. They are flying over and they are offering, they are proposing to stream the entire event, the entire inaugural," Andanar said.
The inauguration ceremony of President-elect Duterte will held in Rizal Hall in Malacanang, which only have a limited space for big events. But Duterte decided to have a simple celebration. there were only 500 guest invited for the inauguration.
Duterte camp make ways in order for the supporters who are not able to attend can still be part of the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Duterte.
"I will propose to the president that after the inaugural, thereafter, all of the briefings, all of the presidential briefings and announcements should be streamed on Facebook," Andanar added in his interview.
Andanar also wants to rename the agency from PCOO to Presidential Communications Office for easy recall.
