Incoming PNP Chief dela Rosa supports martial law in Mindanao

Incoming Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald ''Bato'' Dela Rosa on Tuesday in Camp Crame said that he supports the idea of declaring martial law in Mindanao to address the long-standing problems of insurgency and terrorism in the region if it is the way to solve the problem.

“Kung ‘yan ang talagang makakalutas sa problema eh ‘di mas magandang gawin ‘yan. Kung ‘yan ang nakikita nating magandang solusyon,” Dela Rosa said as he was asked due to the beheading of Hall.

Dela Rosa was also asked about the terror happen, the beheaded of the Canadian captive, Robert Hall.

Yesterday, the hostage Robert Hall has been executed after the deadlines given by the Abu Sayyaf. Hall was the second Canadian executed after John Ridsdel.

“I’m not the PNP chief yet. Once I assume, I will speak with General Visaya, the incoming (AFP) chief of staff and discuss how we will solve the problem,” he said.

But Dela Rosa  also said that he will support the
counterterrorism efforts of the military against the Abu Sayyaf Group.

Meanwhile, Dela rosa warned the involves politician in illegal crimes and soon, he will have the list. He said that he would treat them same with the regular criminals. 

''Kung mayor ka, nanalo ka dahil sa pera mo sa droga, bumaba ka na, huhulihin ka namin," Dela Rosa said.

Previously, President-elect Duterte had already mentioned about the three high ranking officials involved as protectors in illegal activities.
