Freed ASG hostage says, 'we were treated like dogs'


Marites Flor, the Filipina hostage has been released this Friday morning. In her interview, she narrated her experienced in the hands of Abu Sayyaf bandits. She said they were kicked, punched and slapped.

Flor was emotional during the interview, she said “Yung treatment nila parang aso, bata kami. Kaya pag nagkakamali binubugbog,”

“Sinasampal nila ako. Binubugbog naman ‘yung mga kasama ko.”Flor added.

Incoming Peace Adviser Jesus Dureza said that Sulu Gov. Abdusakur Tan II was made all the effort and talk to the Abu Sayyaf to release Flor.

President-elect Duterte met with Flor in Davao and comforted her.


According to Duterte's camp, they also working for the release of Norwegian hostage, Kjartan Sekkingstad.

Duterte said that Abu Sayyaf made the image of the Philippines unlikely because of kidnappings, that's why terrorism must stop.

He stated the he don't want a fight but time will come he'll talk to Abu Sayyaf.

“I don’t want to pick a fight with anyone but there will be a time that I will have to confront Abu Sayyaf. It is not yet forthcoming, I know,” Duterte said.
