Suspected top drug personality Alvaro Direcho, allias "Barok" in Central surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Bohol, on June 21, four days after he escaped from a purported shootout between Policemen and Jaguar Diaz.

He surrendered to NBI because he feared for his family's safety.
“The possibility of being arrested or executed obviously sent him (Alvaro) a chilling effect,” said Oliva. “His world is getting smaller and he fears for his life everyday.
Aside from being suspected Drug lord, Barok has also been accused the ambush of Senior Inspector Jonas Tahanlangit, who died in San Francisco, Camotes Last April 5.
According to Cebu Provincial Director Clifford Gairanod, Barok is on of the top 4 drug personalities in the province.
