Marcos leading on local absentee voting result


Marcos, meanwhile, led the tally for vice president with 11,683 votes followed by Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo, 2,341; Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, 2,134; Senator Antonio Trillanes, 1,588; Senator Chiz Escudero, 944; and Senator Gregorio Honasan II, 314.

A total of 24,497 people applied for the LAV, which took place from April 27 to 29.
Those who took part in the LAV were soldiers, policemen, members of the media and other government workers who were on poll duty on May 9.
In 2013 midterm polls, the number of LAV voters was at 12,732.

For the May 9 polls, the Comelec has approved 24,497 of 28,020 applications for local absentee voting.
